Heart Garland DIY
I am a romantic, lover of all things pink, and enjoy any excuse to dress our house up in hearts! Valentine’s Day is upon us and in the middle of February, especially during a pandemic, I think we could all use a fun project to inject some love and good vibes into our homes! This Felt Heart Garland is SO easy to make and it’s an inexpensive, low-waste, reusable piece of decor that will bring a dose of colour into your home!

Materials:
Felt Sheets (I used 5 in total in light pink, bright pink, and red)
Scissors
Paper
Pen
Sharpie
Hot Glue Gun + Glue Sticks
String/Yarn
Instructions:
Draw a heart or trace a heart (I used an old heart-shaped cookie cutter) on a piece of paper. My heart was about 3 inches tall. Cut your heart out.
Using a pen or sharpie, trace your heart cut-out onto the back of your felt. My felt sheets were 8x10 and I got 8 hearts onto 1 sheet. Cut your hearts out. For a 5 foot garland, I used 25 hearts.
Cut a piece of string/yarn to the length that you want your garland.
Heat up your hot glue gun. Squeeze a line of hot glue on the back of your heart and place the string on top. Leaving 3-4 inches between hearts, continue to glue the hearts and attach the string.
Let cool for a few minutes. Tie a slip knot at each end of your garland and tape or loop over finishing nails to hang it up.
