The Sunday Edition for March 20, 2022

Easter is coming up around the corner and Thursday was so sunny and warm here in Prince Edward County, it’s all making me so excited for Spring. Wooohoooo!! I mean I get excited for Spring starting in the middle of January, LOL! I just love warmer weather and sunshine and being outside plus, I’m always cold, so when the weather is cold, it just makes it so much worse.

This week we finalized our renovation plans and got the stamp of approval from our engineer so now we just wait for our building permits to be finalized and then demolition will begin, see ya later walls! We also visited London last weekend to see Topher’s family which was so lovely. We haven’t seen his family since Christmas which is a really long time for us to go without seeing Topher’s family. Here are some of my favourite things from this past week, enjoY

What we’re drinking

Our favourite coffee roaster launched a new bag of beans to support Ukraine. The profits from these Rosso Beans go to the Humanitarian Coalition to provide food, water, shelter and healthcare for those displaced by the crisis. Not only are you doing good by buying these beans but holy moly the coffee is flipping delicious. If you already need to buy coffee beans, why not have them do some good!

Where I’ve been dreaming of travelling

I’ve been dreaming about travelling to Tofino, British Columbia for so so long. I have this dream of going this Spring or Summer but who knows if that will come to fruition. Hopefully, sometime soon we’ll be able to visit this beautiful place. I’ve never been to British Columbia but Topher has and says BC and Tofino, specifically is relaxing and so gorgeous.

My favourite skincare

I’ve gotten really into skincare over the last year and now have some ride-or-dies. First off, I’ve really realized that doing a morning and nighttime skincare routine is so relaxing and makes me feel so good. It’s total self-care to have those five to ten minutes twice a day to take care of my skin.

Here’s my favourite cleanser from INKEY List. I’ve been really into this Peptide Moisturizer, especially throughout the winter as my skin’s been super dry.

My all-time favourite skincare product is this exfoliator and I can’t live without these complexion renewal pads, I use them morning and night.

What we’re planting this year

Topher has been absolutely obsessed with starting seeds to plant outside come Spring and honestly who can blame him. It’s so fun planning what we’re going to grow this summer. Here are some of the things I’m most excited to plant this year:

What we’ve been watching

We binged a new show or well new to us show called Flack. It’s on Amazon Prime and is based on a celebrity PR agency and all the controversies they get their clients out of, I loved that it was centred around four women and the focus was rarely their love lives. Don’t get me wrong, I love Love Is Blind and The Bachelorette, but I also really appreciate a drama where there are women protagonists who have more important things to discuss than who kissed who.

Things I’ve been eyeing

I’ve got summer on my mind from clothes to decor. I really want another pair of these Birkenstocks, I have a white pair and lived in them all last summer and when we were in Hawaii.

This ceramic colander is the perfect thing for berry season!

I’ve been living in these t-shirts. They are so comfortable and I love them tucked into jeans under a sweater.

That’s all for this week. Sending you big hugs and good vibes for this coming week!

xo,

Elizabeth
