The Sunday Edition: April 3rd, 2022
Friends! It’s April! I’m sure you already knew that, but I’m just so excited for a new month and for Spring. You know what they say, “April showers bring May flowers” and while I really hope we get lots of sunshine this month, I also am so stinking excited for flowers, gardening, warmer weather and Spring!
Something exciting that I’ve started this month is being more intentional about movement! There’s this program going around the internet called “75 Hard” where you follow some pretty strict guidelines for 75 days. I like the theory behind it, but I cannot get behind the restriction, especially in regards to eating and following a “diet”. So, I’m putting my own spin on it. For the next 75 days, I plan on moving my body in some way for at least 30 minutes, getting outside for 30 minutes everyday, reading 30 pages of a book, and journalling. I’m excited to see how it all goes and I really like the intentionality behind it, plus Topher’s doing it too, so we can be accountability buddies, lol!
Things I’m loving, wanting, and excited to try:
The Sephora Spring Sale is coming up so here’s what’s in my cart:
Face Sunscreen (I use this 365 days a year, it gives a super beautiful, glowy base!)
Mascara, I’m excited to try this one
Face tanning drops, I’m craving a tan
I LOVE this lip colour for Spring and Summer (and Fall and Winter too haha!)
I’m obsessed with this dress.
This all-in-one pan comes in the perfect colour for Spring. With a pan this pretty, you can leave it on your stove as decor!
This cookbook, I can’t wait to try out some new recipes.
Taco ‘bout it
I’m obsessed with tacos and with things opening back up, a taco party sounds like the perfect idea! Here are some of my favourite taco recipes.

Eco-friendly Kitchen Tips
April is Earth Month, so every Sunday I want to share some simple hacks to make your life a little bit greener. Here are some easy tips and tricks to make your kitchen more eco-friendly:
swap single-use ziplock bags for Stasher or silicone bags
freeze herbs that are going south to use in soups and sauces
buy dried pantry staples like nuts and seeds in bulk and store them in glass jars (reuse old mason jars!)
use reusable bags when you go grocery shopping for produce
start composting either through your municipality or start your own compost to nourish your garden
reuse plastic mixed greens/spinach containers for starting seeds and seedlings for your garden
buy loose leaf tea and use a metal strainer instead of tea bags
meal plan to avoid food waste
